Kang Mao is the lead singer of Chinese punk rock band SUBS. She's a prominent figure in China's burgeoning rock scene and uses music in her fight for freedom of expression. This intimate portrait of an extraordinarily brave woman gives us a rare glimpse into a society where rock music is silenced by censorship and bans.
