Çiğdem, who is married to Cengiz, who is younger than her, is a wealthy businesswoman. Her troubled marriage, Cengiz's infidelity, and threatening phone calls and letters received at home have pushed her to the brink of despair. Cengiz, who refuses to accept Çiğdem's request for a divorce, leaves for Ankara on business, and that night, the young woman is murdered.
