Laura Oliver Urbano

Laura Oliver Urbano is a Valencian screenwriter and director focused on changing the world. She combines political science — a degree she studied across Spain, France, and the United States — with screenwriting. Her multidisciplinary approach is key to turning ideas into realities and bringing social change to the screen, telling stories that have yet to receive the space they deserve. A winner of several literary awards, including the “Vila de Mislata” Short Literature Prize (2021), the Mostra’t Gandia Festival (2019), and the Parkinson León Literary Contest (2018), among others, she is now aiming to turn her concerns into cinematic stories.
