James Twino (born James Twinomugisha) is a Ugandan filmmaker and founder of Jemo Art Studios. He gained recognition after winning Best Film (Central Region) at the 2023 Uganda Film Festival Regional Competitions for his documentary Land of Peace, which later received a Best Documentary nomination at the 2024 Ikon Awards.

Twino has produced, written, and directed several films, including Brewed Tears, Land of Peace, Beyond The Wheels, and The Room Next Door. His work has appeared at regional and international festivals, with Beyond The Wheels selected for the Kaduna International Film Festival (2024).

With a background in cinematography, editing, motion graphics, and live production, Twino brings both technical skill and creative vision to his projects. Through Jemo Art Studios, he continues to develop impactful stories that contribute to the growth of Ugandan cinema.
