Calla (they/them) is a Los Angeles–based photographer and film Producer, whose work chronicles queer and trans life with a focus on the intersectionality of the trans Latine experience. Calla is also the co-founder of YUQ Studios, a creative studio that creates disgustingly beautiful images and obscenely original stories. Calla also founded Faerialand, a California based nonprofit that empowers queer leaders of the future.
Calla's photography has been featured at exhibitions powered by ONE Institute and the City of West Hollywood. Calla's film work includes two short films — MONES (2025; Zackary Drucker) and Superfake (in development; River Gallo). In 2026, YUQ Studios also launched their inaugural YUCK magazine, a publication aimed at empowering LGBT+ storytellers.
