Miguel Ferreira is a filmmaker from Porto, Portugal. With a bachelor degree in Cinema and a post-graduation degree in Screenwriting and Playwright, it was clear Miguel always loved the power of his imagination, and trough movies he found out a way to express himself and this love.
Miguel wrote & directed four different student projects, from which the documentary "Soul's Origin: The Life of Gabino Ribeiro" stands out.
After graduating, Miguel has didn't wait and has independently written & directed different projects. Those being named "Our Tell-Tale Heart", "fika" and "No Teachers No Politicians", respectively, having had premieres in many festivals, such as "MOTELX", "H.P Lovecraft Film Festival", "Curtas Festival do Imaxinário", "Festival Política", "Entre Olhares", "Revoluções Curtas", among others. Miguel's most recent venture into the film world came in the form of an experimental video-poem named "CICLO", commissioned by the literary festival ESCRITARIA Penafiel.
Miguel has also made its way into the literature world, where the non-fiction and poetry "Verses, Memories and Thoughts of a Young Daltonic" stands out. Besides his work in the novel world, Miguel also wrote an original play named "Then, Now and after Christmas", which has been produced and brought to stage by ESMAE & TNSJ.
